While reviewing dealership search visibility recently, one pattern keeps appearing:

Many dealerships invest heavily in inventory visibility but have relatively limited visibility for financing related searches.

Examples include:

• bad credit car financing
• Kia financing options
• first-time buyer financing
• trade-in financing
• car loan approval

These searches may not have the same volume as some inventory related terms, but they often signal strong intent.

In competitive markets, improving visibility for financing related topics can sometimes uncover opportunities that competitors are overlooking.

It's an area I suspect many dealerships could benefit from evaluating more closely.

Are you saying an online credit app isn't enough?

The credit application is important, but I was thinking more about whether a dealership's finance section captures the full range of financing related searches. Some shoppers may be looking for financing information before they're ready to submit an application.

For example, someone searching "Can I get approved with bad credit?" or "Should I lease or finance?" may be at a different stage than someone ready to complete a credit application.

There may be opportunities around supporting finance content and resources depending on the dealership and market.
