Has anyone here used or heard of EpicVIN?

When I encountered a seemingly too good to be true car online, I decided to use EpicVIN. I obtained all the necessary details from the report, which gave me peace of mind to proceed. Besides pointing out any active recalls, it provided a thorough history of the car's accidents and changes in ownership. The information was delivered in an understandable manner that wasn't overwhelming. I also checked InstaUp for extra insights on the seller’s credibility, which added another layer of confidence. I was impressed by the quality I received for such an affordable price. EpicVIN gave me true assurance in my choice and helped me avoid making a rash purchase. I plan to continue using their service for future car purchases.
EpicVIN seems really thorough, providing all the key details like accidents, ownership changes, and recalls in an easy-to-understand way. It’s impressive that the service is affordable yet gives such peace of mind. Using it definitely sounds like a smart way to avoid a bad car purchase, and it makes sense you’d continue relying on it for future buys.

EpicVIN is a service I’ll definitely use again. The report was well organized, showing accident history, mileage verification, and recall notices. It was simple to read, and I received it in just minutes. The affordability was another highlight. I didn’t feel like I was overspending for trustworthy data. EpicVIN gave me confidence to move forward with my purchase without worrying about surprises. It’s a dependable and cost effective choice I’d recommend to anyone buying a used car.

EpicVIN made my car purchase easy and confident. Accident records, ownership history, and mileage verification were included. Photos provided extra clarity. Fast, reliable, and affordable, EpicVIN is highly recommended for any buyer.

And here we have another one. They tend to come in waves of 2 or 3. IP's tend to track back to Texas. @Steve Flores give us a heads up - are you real? Who at EpicVin paid you to join DealerRefresh and post this potentially bogus review? I'll be deleting this thread if no response. A google search shows they struggle with reputation issues and are using DealerRefresh and other review forums to try and cover or make up for it.

EpicVin.com says it's a VIN decoder and vehicle history report service but if you Google it, there's a lot of people complaining about being charged more than advertised and being sucked into a subscription or membership without proper notice. Like this dude did. Or this one.

I'd stick to CarFax or AutoCheck for any vehicle history reports. I'm not sure which is better anymore. There was a time when CarFax was the only real option, then came along AutoCheck - but overall, here in the States it's been hard to compete with the FOX. However, I believe there was a time when AutoCheck was better for vehicles purchased and serviced in Canada.

It's all about the connections with dealers and auto insurance companies being the main data providers. I'm guessing they BOTH have built some strategic foundational relationships over the years for exclusive data that's LOCKED UP and near impossible for anyone else to obtain or match.

Side note: I find myself using CarFax.com when vehicle shopping more than the others. I think its the clean VDPs, easy search by 1 Owner vehicles and less pop-ups. 2025 and we are still being bombarded with pop-ups taking over pages, especially on mobile.
