I was just wondering if anyone else is receiving spam through GM Lead Management? I have recieved two today for SEO on Google. This is the first time I have received any spam through GM. Maybe I am doing something right and we are more visible...lol

I've received many leads in triplicate, but no spam.. Trick is, you have to "respond" to everything. even doubles and triples. GM says they don't track that, but on the monthly numbers it shows up if you blow off the doubles.

I was under the impression that if you have a duplicate lead and you respond to one it automatically updates both leads is this not the case?

Depending on your CRM/ILM software. This would have to be done on your software's side, and it would have to actively tell GM that you responded to both even though you only responded to one. My software is 1 to 1, so my internet managers have to respond to everything.

✨ AI Highlights

  • A dealer asks whether others are receiving spam through GM Lead Management, prompting a discussion about duplicate leads and how different CRM systems handle them.
  • The key insight is that duplicate lead handling varies by software—some systems automatically update all duplicates when one is responded to, while others require manual responses to each copy, and GM doesn't track response rates across duplicates despite them appearing in monthly numbers.
  • One dealer shares they manually manage this by using GM Lead Management in Dealerworld and then transferring leads to dealer.com since their dealership lacks an integrated CRM/ILM system.
