TrueCar now offers TrueCash

They are trying to get the OEM's to participate by offering consumers a TrueCar incentive. Fiat is the first onboard, offering a TrueCar incentive of $1,000.

Interesting, considering it was less that a week ago that AutoNation dropped their TrueCar contract. Must be a larger push from the OEM level than ever before. I have a feeling dealers will not enjoy this news, especially if it seeps into other OEMs.

Thankfully it's just Fiat, they would do nearly anything to move that metal. None the less it's alarming. How can a non-Truecar Fiat dealer compete on pricing with other Fiat dealers on Truecar now? I think this would somehow go against an OEM franchise agreement regarding customer incentives for dealers. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the franchising agreements can comment.

If I were a dealer I would be raising hell at the OEM, not that they care but they are pretty much forcing dealers to have to sign up with TC.

I agree with Jlewis74 - absolutely not a good idea and I will let our OEMs know this.
