What Cool Tech Gift did you get for the Holiday?

Seems like Kindle was a hit. I have both the Flip Mino and Mino HD. Love them both!! Be sure to send your videos to a service that can handle HD resolution (most can now). I pay a few bucks for MotionBox. Allows me to keep the family videos private.

My Wife bought me Escorts new Smart Mirror. It is a rear view mirror with built in bluetooth, GPS and back up camera! Now if I can just figure out how to install it. I also stepped up to a iPhone. Also started killing thigs on the new Call of Duty. Maybe I missed my calling and should have been a sharp shooter.

I won an iPod Touch from AutoTrader at Digital Dealer, which I gave to my 10 year old daughter. She loves it now that we both learned how to use it. She's enjoying the 20+ games I downloaded for free for her and she blew through the $25 gift card to iTunes within 25 minutes...lol!

My babies got these:

I'm still loving the Flip I won from you and Jared- and I use the Flip channel and Facebook to post out shared videos. Also, I've basically stopped taking photos- I use the "create photos" from the frames. The next thing I need to get is a DVR-RW so I can create DVD's of our videos- over 20G's of family memories video so far...lol!

By default, I got a HelloMoshi, voice-interactive alarm clock(was my gift for my 79-year-old Dad, but he couldn't work it). It's the ultimate gadget for sleep-lovers who don't want to rouse themselves to see what time it is. I can lay in bed and--without opening my eyes--ask what time it is (Moshi verbally answers). All verbally, I can set my alarm, find out the temperature, tell her to play white noise, turn on a light, and a few other cool tricks.

The only catch is I can't figure out how to turn the alarm or snooze off. :-( She finally wore herself out the other morning telling me to get the hell up... long after I was in the shower.

Oh yeah, and last night she went on borrowed time by waking me up in the middle of the night :goodbye:saying, "Welcome. Command please." Now, unless I said, "Hello Moshi" in my sleep, she should only speak when spoken to; but alas, I guess you can't keep a good robot down.

Check her out here: The Voice Interactive Alarm Clock - Hammacher Schlemmer

That sounds like a cool gift, and I'm going to check it out..What's up with everyone playing Xbox and video games? Am I missing something?

I get figity watching TV... always have to eat something or do something else. Video games provide a higher level of interaction that keeps my brain stimulated. Also, the risk/reward lessons, need for quick on-your-toes thinking, and human interaction with team members online provide very real benefits when loosely translated into the real world.

Late for the holidays but had to turn in the ancient Mitsubishi T.V. for a Samsung 650.

1080p w/ 120Hz refresh. Trying to get the RSS reader to display stats from my CRM. May have to redirect the DNS from USA today to show "news" from my custom RSS feed.
