I just noticed that suddenly our Yelp page says we're a paid advertiser even though we aren't one. I would have noticed this before. I think it came up over the last few days. Strangely enough about a week ago they called pitching it. Has anyone else noticed this?
A dealer reports that his Yelp business page now displays a "paid advertiser" badge despite never purchasing advertising, with the issue appearing shortly after Yelp's sales team contacted him a week prior. Another user suggests this may be a tactic to generate follow-up sales calls from Yelp. The thread implies frustration over potentially deceptive labeling practices or aggressive sales tactics by the platform.
