Carfax is way better. Its not even up for debate. Now is it worth the extra money?. I think so. It has a Carfax history based value that is very dealer friendly for sales and appraisals. It has original monroney labels for many makes, service history and accident history is more accurate in my observation. I used to get a call a day from Autocheck dealers asking me to run a Carfax for them. Autocheck also has zero customer awareness

Is there anyone in or near South Carolina that has a contact for AutoCheck? We currently use CarFax, but we are looking to compare pricing with AutoCheck. So far, I haven't been able to reach anyone with AutoCheck to start that process. That already gives me bad vibes, but the decision is not mine to make.

Anyway, If anyone has a contact for AutoCheck, I would appreciate if you could share with me.

Thanks!

✨ AI Highlights

Dealers discuss the merits of Carfax versus AutoCheck for vehicle history reports, with most agreeing that running both services offers the best outcome—AutoCheck for internal inventory purchasing due to its accuracy and data, and Carfax for consumer-facing communications because of its brand recognition and trust. Key considerations include Carfax's premium pricing but added value through products like Used Car Listings and Carfax for Life, as well as superior accident and service history reporting. The consensus suggests that while AutoCheck may be technically superior, Carfax's market dominance and consumer awareness make it worth the extra cost for most dealerships.
