Driving up the cost per click isn't ok with me!

Dealers are frustrated that OEMs are bidding on their franchise dealership names in paid search (SEM/PPC), driving up costs per click and potentially intercepting customer leads that should go to the dealer. While some argue this is inevitable competitive behavior, others view it as a violation of the franchise relationship and believe dealers should pivot to long-tail keywords where they have a competitive advantage over OEM spending power.
