AI is an awesome tool that can be used by your sales people both proactively and reactively when working with customers. It doesn't just have to be deployed in the BDC's and the CRM's it can actually be in the sales person's hands. Are any of you out there deploying these tools with your sales people and if so, how are they working? would love to hear. please respond or DM me

Vendor here with a company called Seez. The DealerFresh team did a "Friday Live" interview with our CEO, Tarek, last year. We have a website AI chatbot. Excellent point Jamie because funnily enough we were noticing that sales and other staff at the dealership were keeping their website open and using the website chat themselves – getting questions answered, easily finding information etc. when they were trying to help customers, learn about vehicles and more. So we decided to create a product that is an internal AI chatbot for the dealership staff. It contains more breath of information than on the consumer facing website (information a shopper would not need access to directly). We launched our first partner in Europe on it in the last few weeks (2nd largest dealer group in Denmark). Absolute rave reviews so far. Don’t have too many specifics on exactly how they are using it but could certainly get some more details from the European team if that is helpful.

@Alex Snyder it's been a while! Sorry I haven't checked in with you guys in so long. We were just acquired by pinewood.ai and have been busy launching new features and products but focused a lot of our effort in the international market. We are just about to launch a pilot with a large dealer group here in the US, I'll keep you posted on that. In the meantime, here's a fun little recap of our last year. And a preview into what is coming this year.

Hello all,

I wanted to let you know that next Wednesday we are hosting a AI study group for Car Dealer professionals. This is not for us to sell services. It's an opportunity for professionals like yourselves to share and learn about how AI is being used in auto dealerships. This will be our second one. I'm gonna drop an invitation in this reply. It would be fun to meet you all.
Jamie

Our AI Study Group for Dealership Professionals kicks off soon — and we'd love to see you there!
May 14(and every 2nd Wednesday of the month)
2:00–3:30 PM CT
Online
for auto dealer professionals across the board, this is a relaxed, no-pitch space to explore how AI is showing up in the dealership world.
We’re just bringing people together to learn, swap ideas, and see what’s possible — no selling, just sharing.

Hey Sorel,

Thanks for the reply this sounds interesting. We are creating customized ChatGPT's to assist sales people in a variety of ways. I'm going to put a link to one in here if you use chat, you can click on this link and see how it works. It helps sales people quickly determine who their customer is and figure out how to communicate with them, while they are working with them in real time.
Try it and tell me what you think

Congrats on the sale, David! That explains a lot. I see you're going to be close to Lithia. Looking forward to hearing more.

On the verge of rolling out an internal AI tool for our sales team/BDC that we're tentatively calling "Fancy Car Finder" (still workshopping the name, haha).

It works by guiding customers through an engaging form experience where they share:
- Their use cases (better mpg, increased trunk space, etc.)
- Budgets and payment preference (Lease, Finance, Cash)
- Lifestyle factors (daily commute, weekend adventures, urban living)
- Vehicle preferences (sunroof, leather seats, tech packages)

The backend runs on AWS Bedrock AI, which analyzes all the inputs to recommend the ideal vehicle down to the specific trim level. We've integrated our live inventory feeds so it immediately shows available vehicles matching those preferences too.

The tool then packages all of that preference data with the lead and sent to our sales/BDC, for a more personalized first touch. Enables our team to know exactly what matters to the customer before the first interaction without stepping on anyone's toes. Next iteration would focus on the walk in.

I’ll keep this thread updated once it’s been rolled out for a few weeks!
