Fanpage Dilemna - I need some smart people!

Hmmm... Lets say they are fairly active on facebook. (having just one total page). They post occasional updates, then mentions of events, exclusive offers, pictures of sold vehicles and the customers, etc... that could be great for branding and what-not, but you might risk flooding someones...

Thinking about a Motto for myself, towards my customers

Creating a personal motto is always a great and fun idea. I like what you have with "easy going and straightforward". Two very good traits to mention. I think you're on the right track, just needs a little more "zing". Perhaps something like: "There is no exercise better for me than to...

    Facebook pages not welcome?

Facebook does allow you to filter friends into separate categories. I've heard of a lot of people going that route so they don't mix personal with work. As Jerry had mentioned, i think you'll get more activity this way. Ofcourse setting up a personalized page is never a bad idea too :)

Just for Fun - Fifty Ugliest Cars of the Past 50 Years

Ugliest car I have ever owned was an 87' Corsica. I remember i used to park a few blocks away from meetings just so people wouldn't see the car.

A Clever Twitter Marketing - What 99% of Dealers Aren't Doing and Why your Dealership Should Be.

Yeah I have to agree, drives me nuts. That and when you get dealerships who set up a program to post a new car ad on twitter... every 30 seconds. I'm sure it helps get your name on google, but you probably will never have a fan or follower. ever.

    Outbound link tracking

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions you guys. I actually did both this last Friday, and the results are showing as "0 Conversions". Perhaps I entered it in in-correctly. I'll re-add the info, hopefully it works this time :)

    Outbound link tracking

Hey guys, i've been trying to figure out how to get the outbound link tracking to work via Google Analytics. Sadly, I'm failing at getting the coding to work. Has anyone had experience with using Google Analytics for this? What do you use to track outbound links? Thanks!

    Photo shop for website design?

Hey Ryan, It has been awhile since I've really had to deal with Photoshop, When you want to reduce an image, have you tried to go to Image > Image Size menu (toward the top of the photoshop window). Click on Resample Image and choose Bicubic Sharper from the drop-down menu. For enlarging an...

    What's on a Car Shopper's Mind?

I am currently looking for a car, and you had mentioned some of the things that were in my mind such as "I want a new shiny thing to look at" and "It's making a noise, the Tires are worn, brakes squeak, check engine light". Also, some more things could be. "Does this vehicle look spacious...

Harder decision than "whats for lunch"

I would have to say i'd fall into the "Asian" drive-feel category. I do have to agree with your statement "were light-weight and handled fantastically". I wish they still made more cars like that.

Harder decision than "whats for lunch"

Hahaha Alex! Yeah a Ferrari or Aston Martin would be crazy! Yeah i had looked at a few vehicles, in the beginning i was thinking Civic SI (amazing car, but i'm hesitant due to car theft rates). Then i was thinking maybe a Lancer, but i've seen to many of those as of late. So i was like...

    What Am I Doing Wrong?

Hey Mautos, Have you thought of social media? a Facebook fan page, and twitter account (with clear visible buttons on your web page) are great tools for both listening and engaging. Also, wouldn't hurt to have a Youtube account with your vehicle listings, especially if its free :). I know there...

Harder decision than "whats for lunch"

I've been sitting here contemplating what type of car I would like to buy. Then i though, why not ask the experts? What kind of car's do you guys like? Personally I'm not a big fan of domestic, and am currently leaning towards the 2010 Mazda3 5-door. What would you suggest?

    Facebook Giveaway Promotion Ideas

Hi Bobby, Great questions. First off, exclusive content like ticket giveaways are always a great idea! Personally i dont like to do the same kind of giveaway 2 times in a row (baseball tickets). Maybe do all 4 tickits for one giveaway, then maybe your next special thing could be $ off an...

    Employee Guidelines For Social Media

I would have to agree with both Jerry and Scott on this one. Depending on how involved you would like to be in social media you could either just do it through your dealership going the route of what Jerry said with controlled passwords and postings. Or you could go the way Scott said and go...
