These are new technologies (AMP/PWA) and do take time for some to get onboard with. Lighthouse specifically is a looking at how the page is built with PWA in mind. This is the future. If your site is not https secure, this will cost the site to score low. Don't take this as the end all be all test, but it is a great tool to utilize when looking to improve page view optimization and load time.
Rick Buffkin shares Google's new tool that estimates revenue loss from slow websites, prompting debate about its accuracy and methodology. Forum members, particularly Jason and simpledealersuite, critique Google's testing parameters—which simulate a mid-range phone on a 3G network—arguing these conditions don't reflect actual U.S. dealer customers who primarily use LTE, making the projected traffic loss estimates unreliable. The consensus is that while site speed matters for SEO and user experience, Google's specific measurement tool oversimplifies the problem and dealers should use alternative tools like Lighthouse, Pingdom, or GTmetrix for more contextual performance data.
