Curious how other dealers are thinking about post-sale customer savings/loyalty programs these days.
We've been seeing more customers mention that they compare not just vehicle pricing but ongoing costs — service deals, accessory bundles, insurance/warranty add-on pricing — before committing to a dealership relationship long-term.
A few things that seem to be resonating with buyers lately:
1. Transparent bundling (service + accessories) shown upfront rather than upsold after the fact
2. Loyalty-based service discounts that are clearly communicated at time of sale
3. Simple, no-fine-print promotional pricing on maintenance packages
Has anyone tested restructuring how these savings are presented at the point of sale, and seen it move the needle on retention or CSI scores? Would be interested to hear what's actually worked versus what just sounds good on paper.
