Hi! I want to work for free so I can learn how to improve the warranty process for dealership owners. I have experience automating similar work, but I want to learn the ins and outs of the auto industry before starting.

Are there any owners or GMs out there open to this?

If so, please drop me a message. I’d appreciate talking to you, and there’s no pressure to commit. Even 15 minutes to learn about your process would be a big help.

I've asked, but dealership owners are proving surprisingly hard to get a hold of. The best response I've gotten was a single 'no thanks.'

If any dealers are out there willing to jump on the phone, I'd love to talk. No hard sell, just trying to learn.

✨ AI Highlights

A developer seeking free work experience in automotive warranty administration reaches out to dealership owners and GMs, but struggles to get traction beyond initial rejections. Respondents note that many dealerships either handle warranty in-house or hire specialized external companies, with one commenter highlighting that manufacturers like GM are particularly stringent about warranty claims, creating demand for experienced specialists who know how to navigate denials. The thread suggests that gabrielm's entry point may be limited without either local connections or expertise that addresses a specific pain point dealers face.
