Is there an Anti-Virus, Firewall, & Anti-Spyware software worth using over Microsoft Defender?

Security is a cat and mouse game. Software can only help you get so far.
If you have a responsible set of employees, microsoft defender should do the trick.
If you have people that are downloading and sharing videos (think limewire etc) there is really no saving you.

That is so true. Glad to know about Defender. It seems like a solid option. On paper, at least. I just wanted to see what other dealership people knew. Thanks.

Choosing antivirus software can be tricky—I've been there! Microsoft Defender is solid, but exploring other options can be worthwhile, especially with the new FTC rules. I once upgraded from Defender to a paid antivirus suite after a close call with malware. It offered extra layers of protection and peace of mind. Now that the new FTC rules are live, is it worth it to find better tools than Microsoft Defender?
I currently use SentinalOne, with NinjaRMM and Avanan spam filter.
I am also looking into an SIEM for my 365

I guess the real question is what are you trying to do? AV is just a piece of the puzzle.
I can go on and on about all the security measures. It seems, I always have to figure out how to plug some hole or create a new policy.
I'm not going to even go into FTC violations for P.I.I. Dealerships are typically horrible at this.

ransomware and software attacks are not typically what I'm fearful of. It's the data breach and account hacks.
