Setting up a Photo Booth

Our dealership is considering going for this Dealermade set up. They charge per the number of VINs you take photos of and bill monthly. You can also buy everything outright for a large sum of money, I want to say $60k or so. Thinking about getting our own shed built and just using their technology and platform.

Superior Honda has them: https://www.superiorhonda.net/

Interesting. On the surface things look pretty cool. How much is the vehicle rotater?

Found the email from Brad King, their President:

"The rental program solves many issues:

1. Many things change within this technology every 3 years, the renewal allows you to keep up with the latest technology

2. The system is very expensive, so we can discount the overall price in a rental.

3. We maintain the entire system (replace cameras, etc.) with a rental

but you can purchase the studio and purchase automation and services separately:

Studio (flooring, carousel, walls, ceiling, lighting, cameras, control center)

$68,700 installed

Services (maintain inventories, automated cameras, controls, media processing, exporting, media layer (360 views, HD media)

$1,800/mo - 250Plan

$2,800/mo - GrandPlan

Compared to Rental inclusive of studio & service;

$3,300/mo - 250Plan

$4,300/mo - GrandPlan"

So you'd be looking at $4,300/mo for the unlimited photo pack if you rented, or $68,700 + the monthly service fee. Tough decision to rent vs own.

We built all of our photo booths and we do not pay vendors any outside fees. I think our pics are very respectable. Not 360 pics but very very good...I would love your opinions..Joe Pistell do you have any pics from our 1st and 2nd gen booths we made back in the day?? Here is a sample of pics from our current booths:

Pictures tell 1,000 words (and sell a lot of cars!)
Do a VISUAL study of your competitor's car photos. Who are the winners? How great does your booth need to be to be best in your area?

Interior photos are WAYYYY more important than exterior pics. Be sure your booth is well built for interior pics.

Here's a great pic from Stefan's store (black interior is the ideal test)

(can you see there's WAY more to photos than the booth?_

Center stack shots help sell cars, here is Todd's UsedCarKing.com DIY booth

Compare this to Superior Honda's stack shot (shoppers try to read the buttons!)

Photos are critical to sales success. Great pics come from your strong attention to small details.
