Uncle Joe's Make Over Diary

We're talking about what your shoppers are doing on the lot.

We all agree the web is a door way to the lot, but today, shoppers are bringing their computer TO YOUR STORE to make their shopping better.

Additionally, the web is a blender. I am pounding the table saying that most shoppers arrive with more questions than answers and look to close all the gaps with the dealer visit (instant price and availability checks too)

p.s. Auctiondirectusa.com invites shoppers to shop them on kiosks at their stores. Game. Set. Match. Brilliant.

We all forget how confusing car shopping is. For context, I DARE YOU, go to your 401k, learn about all of your choices and totally take it over. It's bewildering. Oh, and master it while you're up to your armpits in your busy life...

Great testimonial for transparency.

Need help finding an study. Hope y'all can help me.

There was a internet shopper study that compared what car was on the lead (or phone call) vs what car they bought. The study found the majority of people bought a different car than the car they were looking at on the internet.

Joe, this was the case before the internet. I remember a customer coming in for a lifted diesel truck and I sold him a corvette. This is the reason why some dealers will get customers in even if the vehicle has been sold. Customers change their minds during the stock walk.

Wow. 700 likes! TY to all your DR readers that put up with my rants.

I am driven by one simple vision and I share it all with you: "does it sell cars?"

This is why this thread has had 700 likes IMO. Your posts Joe, for me anyway, keeps things in check with your DISC vision. Car dealers are often swayed by the "shiny new object" on the market. But does it sell cars? Keep up the great work. We all learn from your insights.
