Ingesting a CarFax & Cargurus phone leads into Vinsolutions. The lead source doesn’t offer a difference from traditional leads from these two. Need to assign these accordingly as to not disrupt our round robin lead process. The ADF source does show “phone” but neither of these sources are interested in parting them for us. Anyone known workaround? Thanks in advance.

I do the same as what @jscole86 does. Turn them off from pushing XML lead notifications. They're phone ups, not internet leads, so they need to follow your phone up process and not an internet process. Hopefully you have a phone tracking tool in place anyway which would allow you to track them for logging accuracy in your CRM as phone ups. Also, you can just go into the CarGurus/CarFax dashboard, view the phone numbers, search the number in the CRM to confirm it was logged and move on.

✨ AI Highlights

  • A dealer asks how to properly handle incoming phone calls generated through Carfax and Cargurus listings in their Vinsolutions CRM, since these leads aren't differentiated from web leads and disrupt their round-robin assignment process.
  • Respondents recommend disabling XML/ADF lead notifications from these sources entirely and instead routing phone-initiated leads through a dedicated phone tracking process, since they're phone ups rather than internet leads and would otherwise create duplicates and workflow conflicts.
