I would say the biggest mistake, is that some clients buy this service and try to sell over the phone. They will fail. This program is for appointment setting, and I think is sometimes misunderstood that this will just make people come to your store.
Of the clients I have personally signed up, I make sure they get this fact. Set the appointment, get them in the store then close them. Some dealers are not set up for this and then fail miserably.
Also, some stores do not want to get extra people to handle the calls. I am not saying hire 10 guys day one, but after a week or 2 you will need to. Of course, as stated earlier, we can field these call and set the appointments for clients if needed, but I understand no GM wants to admit to this. Therefore, at 40 calls a day, and all you sales people on the phone, the people in the lot get lost..or what usually happens, there is no one to answer the calls.
Now , again when I sell it, I make sure this is all understood, and none of my clients have left. NONE. But i have heard of clients leaving, and this is the number 1 reason i hear: "too many phone calls not enough visitors"
So please, just understand we get them on the phone for you, you need to bring them in.
