Thanks, Jeff.
Consumer-facing:
Our on-page design thesis began by studying Carvana and other top consumer shopping experiences -- businesses who had vast user data and had spent millions of dollars on A/B testing.
We see some really "pretty" design work by some auto website vendors, which was well suited for the early 2000s; however, on the mobile device, where ~80% of shopping traffic flows today, the small vertical canvas doesn't lend itself to big, unique creative. So, we opted for sleek, simple and intentional.
Of course, under the hood, we're delivering a CWV-passing-capable site out-of-the-box and pushing our dealers to not break performance with bad habits from automotive's past. We're currently working with a handful of 3rd-party vendors to help them optimize their widgets for CWV.
It's going to take a village to fix the automotive ecosystem.
WordPress:
Hey, the current Overfuel company website is on WP but I'm FINALLY migrating off of it this quarter. WP was a good run for the world but there's too many other platform sites available now that are far more performative (in Google's and the consumer's eyes).
As I'm sure you've seen, the data studies comparing the performance of WP to modern mass platforms like Duda, Wix, Shopify say it all -- WP is in deep trouble.
Of course, you can't use most of those platforms for automotive due to the nuance required. That's we chose to build Overfuel. Clean design and smooth performance are great, but at the end of the day, results still depend on skill and progression. I ran into this while playing Valorant - you can have a solid setup, but climbing ranks consistently is a different story. At some point I started looking into how others handle that gap and came across
Valorant Boosting | Premium Valorant Rank Boost Service . It gave me a better understanding of how ranking systems and progression actually work.
Mercedes-Benz:
Unfortunately, we are not an approved provider. While 28% of our client base is OEM (and growing rapidly), we currently do not have a Mercedes store as a client. We'd love the opportunity.
