As we transition from decades-old Google search results to a new era of exact-response queries, I wanted to start this thread on strategies to ensure you are included in AI responses.

Digital Dealer did a pretty good 101 explanation of what this means. Dealer Authority started a thread about this, too. This is a strategy thread.

Are you writing more blog articles? Putting more into forums and/or Reddit? What are some ideas for this?

The amount of misleading information on SEO and LLMs is really sad.

You cannot rank first on ChatGPT. That's not how LLMs work. For one they are not consistent when giving answers ... by design! They are meant to be unique, therefor there is no consistent #1 ranking.

And they are not designed to get you clicks, they are designed to answer questions.

GEO is AI forcing SEO's to do SEO the way they were supposed to be be doing it along.

They claim you need new tactics to “rank” in AI answers but when you look closely…it’s nothing more than the same old SEO fundamentals.

The reason it feels new to most SEO's is because they never did SEO correctly in the first place.

I've been using a combo of GA4, GSC, and Peec AI performance to understand the baseline AI visibility and opportunities for web properties, then creating blog posts around the opportunities surfaced. This has worked for me moving the needle in more citations and visibility.

And that is all there is too it, find keyword gaps, publish content around those gaps, and get links to that content.

Depending on how much site authority you have will determine how long it takes to rank, get traffic, and show up in the AI.
