Hello everybody!
I agree with previous poster, it is very interesting to watch the modification of thread started in 2009. You know, if SEO was useless, I think it wouldn't survive through 9 years.
But it hasn't only survived but also evolved. And it's really working, guys. I mean, it worked for me. I considered SEO as a fad couple of years ago and didn't want to pay some tricksters. But then I decided to Google myself and it turned out that I wasn't there. I'm not talking about the first page, my dealership didn't appear neither on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th result page. I was frustrated and then I realized that I have to do something, cuz I was just invisible for clients.
Firstly I wanted to adjust everything by myself. I'm not stupid, I'm tech-savvy, and I have some spare time during the week. Guys, don't repeat my mistakes. There are SO MUCH to learn and moreover you have to constantly track search engines updates and adjust your website accordingly. Later, I found out that normally one website is being optimized by at least 4 people: on site seo expert, off site one(linkbuilder), conten writer, smm specialist. So it is not doable by one person who has other work to do.
But it was useful experience though. Then I spent some time looking for the suitable company, which provides optimization. After some time I found
Autoxloo, they develop software for dealers and also optimize their websites. I decided to try and we agreed that after 3 months i will see my dealership on the first page by 10 keywords related to the cars I sell. They kept their promise. I'm there for local search and for global as well.
Try new ways, guys. Business is tough, and automotive industry is one of the toughest in the US. We have to impove, good luck
