Nice thread, thanks for kicking it off! A few thoughts:

  • Great that you’re doing both organic and paid social. Organic helps build trust; ads help scale reach.
  • Don’t get too hung up on follower numbers, engagement (shares/comments) often matters more than raw count.
  • Try testing content types (video, stories, reels vs static posts) to see what your audience actually responds to.

Curious, what metrics do you use to decide whether a social campaign is “working”?

That’s a smart move! Buying a small boost of TikTok followers can sometimes help a new account gain initial traction and appear more credible, especially in competitive markets like car sales.

At the end of the day, social media is like good facilities management Visit official source, it’s all about consistency, maintenance, and adapting to what people actually need.

What happened here? Video is removed. There's a sus Reddit post with the same gmail that was also removed from reddit.

No website or SM accounts popping up on a quick google search and overlapping NY based dealer with similar name (also marked permanently closed on GBP).
Yeah this feels like a bot honestly.

I'd stick with Dealer Authority for social media management, honestly.

The thread discussion revealed important insights about social media success—namely that follower count is meaningless without engagement and that algorithms prioritize shares and interactions over vanity metrics—while also exposing the OP's skepticism toward follower-boosting apps and bot-driven growth tactics. By the thread's end, community members grew suspicious of the original poster's legitimacy after discovering removed videos, deleted Reddit posts, and no verifiable online presence.
