a) was built by people who are still at the company
b) was built in this decade

Big difference: over 1/3rd of the Internet is on Wordpress.
There are some bad ass, customized (theme) sites out there built on WP. I wrote up a giant explanation on why to use DI and WP about 5 years ago. I think it lives on ADM, buried in that crappy NING site.Hence the threat vector dilemma.
I do love WordPress though, just for static content sites.
